Took this from a bargain
priced porcelain doll. I
remember thinking that
whoever priced the dolls
in that thrift store had
no eye for quality, as
other dolls were priced
twice this one. Got rid
of the doll a while back, but
struggled her dress and
hat onto Felicity, today,
and was happy with the result! |
Very pretty! Unfortunately, I think only "doll people" notice quality in dolls and doll clothing.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th!
I've noticed that the porcelain dolls often have outfits and sell for nothing in thrift stores, a shame because we know how long it takes to them. I love your Felicity and her outfit and your little patriotic dolly on the 4h of July. Sylvia
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sylvia! Your encouraging words are much appreciated. Thank you for becoming a "follower!" :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bama, for weighing in. :) I think you are right. Tried not to laugh when another dealer at the flea market said, "You collect those?" and proceeded to whip out two porcelain dolls. To him there was no difference. :) (Another lady had 3 Richard Simmons old folks for $5 each. How sorely tempted I was!)
