Military Man!

My cousin and his wife
bought this for our grandmother
when he was still an
active Marine.
He's dressed in felt and
has paper details and
I love him.

What do You Call Them?

Got this little set at Goodwill, Tuesday.

Some of the flatware is missing.

But I did not resist.

I call them "doll dishes."
Probably there is a better designation.
Probably I didn't need them.

The "Accidental" Doll

I bid on this darling on ebay.

I didn't mean to do it, and I didn't notice that I had!

So, now she lives with me.

The numerals may not be what I think.

Never Removed From Box
Some people only want dolls in this
condition.  I have some.  They are
nice to gaze upon.  If I were investing
in dolls, I would expect to keep them
this way.  I think it just depends on
the individuals reason for having dolls.
For me, it's fun to dress dolls, to
photograph dolls, to clean up grubby
rejects, and, sometimes, just to gaze
upon dolls.

"Painting" a Picture

The photograph was not very good.
The doll (Brinn's Collectible
Martha Jefferson Randolph Doll,
American Tradition Series 1987)
is not currently displayed in
my home.  Worthy of attention?
I thought so.  So I "messed"
with the picture to make it look
a little more like art. ;-)
